You're right, but when I loaded the page, the current bid read "218,500 USD". So you can see why I made such a conclusion.
If there were only two zeros after the comma, or if the currency were EUR instead, obviously the price would not be in the hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Thanks tom! that makes things much clearer to me. It's odd to me to have the European decimal notation system denoting a value in USD.

the joseon tea bowl made reserve and sold for US $649.60. I wouldn't mind drinking tea out of it, but it is a bit rich for my pocket. Compared to the price of other pieces of that vintage, it seemed a bargain for someone tho. So, who from here picked it up

Very similar to the
bowl by the same artist with which I inaugurated this topic....and fortunately for the budget, there are some smaller works that are more affordable, though I still daydream of one of those gorgeous big chawans, where Suzuki has a much larger canvas on which to work his magic....
