What's the "traditional asian style"? You might want to narrow it down a bit more.

We have some "Western" Teaware Artisans who do some really nice Asian influenced work. Some will do custom work as well. Check out the TeawareArtisan forum of TeaChat!

My prime Japan source for new Japanese teaware is artisticnippon.com. The owner, Toru is very responsive and helpful.

Well, Hagi-Yaki I source from many ...

If you are looking for smaller steeps, and do not mind ordering from over seas, for a gaiwan I recommend the Teamasters 60-70 ml gaiwan, the Qingbai mini gaiwan. http://teamasters.blogspot.com/2005/07/ ... #comments/

I personally do not know a good source for yixing teapots, unless you are selling your kidney for one.

Most styles of Japanese teaware can be found for a reasonable price, with great service from Artistic Nippon. http://www.artisticnippon.com/

Taiwanese wares are fun, but most I have found is wonderful celadon cups. I also personally enjoy Korean teaware, but besides mass produced sets those almost require personal connections to find. But under Tea merchandiser on this forum you can find some stuff channeled through a current member Tead Off.

I hope this gets you started. Again without knowing exactly what you want its hard to really point you straight to one spot.

Thnx a lot. I don't know what I want yet cause I'm still confused and still learning. There is so much to this it takes a while to learn it all lol. Gonna start with those companies n see what I like and hopefully one day I will be able to pair teas with pots n cups.

Just get a gaiwan for now and a cup and a load of different teas. Let your obsession with the teas you like and how you like it guide your vessel purchases.
