As if it isn't great enough already, my new pot also handles fukamushi surprisingly well

Although I don't mind having some leaf in the cup, it didn't let much through. It has a standard ball filter so you would expect otherwise...

After brewing I ate the leaves straight out of the pot with chopsticks. I bet any Japanese who'd see that would laugh their ass off

The tachi masaki pots are great for Fuka. Just keep the pour very slow (sencha taste better like that anyway IMO)

Before ever brewing tea in my Tachi pot, it had a pleasant sweetish smell to it. It must be from the clay itself, and it's still there, together with a tea smell of course. You guys notice this too in his pots, or Bankos in general? It's good for me, with my sweet tooth

I am starting my day well with a wonderful combo from Petr (teapot) and Andrzej (yunomi) brewing up a nice Gao Shan oolong from YS:

This new Yixing clay tray was much heavier than I thought it would be. It's solid clay! Having somewhere for the water to drain has made my tea-experience much better. I may just order the larger version of this tray to for the kitchen... It came on the same day as the 40ml $15 pot shown here.

Today I'm drinking 2001 Jinchang Haw, though this infusion is now so light I must admit it's time to move to the next tea!

Or maybe make some matcha I need energy today I have two parties to attend. Including one where I'll share tea with people who've never had gong fu before. (see "the blind leading the blind" in the puerh forum for more on this!)

I found a pottery shop last night that was selling student's work for one night only, so I picked up my first yunomi size cup. For $8, it's a good starter piece that can hold 8oz of tea, perfect for some foggy morning walks in the backyard this morning.
