I've seen you post that pot a couple of years ago chip. I wouldn't have remembered it if it wasnt for your rustic repair. Which completes the look of the pot for me. Awesome

Thank you Lionel for sharing with us, very nice indeed!

Tuesday ... a bit late. Began with another Hagi SO cup, this one is an Ice Split. In the Koshin Mogake Kyusu (different from the last one I posted) is a mystery sencha!

Thanks. Amazingly the repair has held up through likely more than 1000 steeps with no sign of any problems.

Talk about rustic, I should post in interior photo. Also, not sure if you can tell, the pot has a nice patina thing going on.

Tea #2 is another mystery sencha! This round in a pair of Guinomi flying sucers by Shawn of Greenwood Studios. The kyusu is an oddball old Banko.

I did notice it looked very fresh when you first posted a picture those years back. Was it fairly new when it had its accident?

Looking very used now! Lovely :D

Shawn's magic levitating cups ... these are a bit bigger than the guinomi-s of yesterday ... but too small to be called Yunomi either. But a very nice size/pair nevertheless!

Yes, it was VERY new. Koi the cat knocked it right off a counter. I set it on top of a cabinet for a few years til a solution/inspiration/motivation finally hit me.

It is not artisan per se. But I still like it. I am going to take some interior photos of it tomorrow ...

Great pictures, Chip! Interesting how the tea seems to have an opalescent or shimmering quality to it.

And congrats on 20k posts...!!!

Beautiful older tebineri Bizen Gyokuro set (part of it) made by ... hmm, the artisan name slips my mind. Really impressive set. There is a shimmering quality to it. Getting ready for Gyokuro for two ...
