Big pots

by MEversbergII » Apr 15th, '13, 11:09

Does anyone have any large pots they could recommend? I have a 500ml (2 cup) pot I use personally, but when I have guests that is never enough. I've seen some 1500ml (6 cup) pots on Amazon, but I'm not sure if maybe those aren't so great.

I'm figuring I'd likely be brewing mid-grade pu'ers and hongcha in them - more robust, "hotter" teas - because the surface to volume ratio of a sphere dictates that I will lose heat slower in a larger pot than a smaller one.

Ideally, $50 or less. Leaning more towards the less - I think the Amazon 6 cups were ~$20. That said, getting what one pays for.

Cheers, thanks! Purple clay - unglazed? Might be worth looking into, though versatility is limited. I'll comb through the site and see what I can find.
