Superb! I tried taking a pottery class in college. My first attempt at throwing ended up in disaster. My teacher kindly pulled me aside and said, "Bill, you just don't have gentle hands" and encouraged me to take something else! True story!

Awesome! I especially like the banded one.

would be great to create a teaboat/dish with raised platform in middle maybe 8'' diameter. Hard to find nice ones on the net, especially ones that have the finish as your pottery items. very nice

Nice work, I like the Chawan. And the glaze on the green teacup. How long have you been at it? They indeed have a rather Japanese look that isn't present in most teaware I see made by "Westerners."

I was thinking of taking a ceramics class, but its $400 and my car just got wrecked so i need to buy a new one. Thus I think I have to wait till Jan for the class ;( Although you may have inspired me to just find a way to make it work... gotta send the check in this week though...

Those are all gorgeous, great job all around bbb (and depending on the material cost/labor time ratio you could have some brilliantly in demand Teaswap fodder)

Very cool, Bears! I remember reading somewhere where you posted about the celadon glaze being too thin? Did that work out?
