I received the utilitea from adagio in the mail today (along with a few pounds of many kinds of teas and other toys)
I have to say the utilitea is great.
-Quick water boiling.
-I love the auto off switch (safe).
-The chemical odor is near non existent (many other brands supposedly give off a bad stench... at least from what i read.)
-Best of all, I love the dial that sets up different brewing temps.. I crank up black tea.. or green tea... its perfect (no guess work)
I am sure I am preaching to the choir here since we are on adagio forums and you all have been at this a long longer then me. So I am sure many of you already own this thing.
If anyone new is out there like myself I highly recommend that utilitea. Money well spent.

I am hoping Santa Claus will bring me a Utilitea... or even better, a zoji, for Christmas.
I've been SUCH a good girl. Really good.

Lucky you. Mine arrived yesterday, filled it properly past the minimum line, plugged it in. Nothing. Tested the outlet. Fine. Tried another outlet. Nothing. Contacted customer service, there's a replacement on the way, leaving the spatially challenged to repack it to go back.Woots wrote:I received the utilitea from adagio in the mail today (along with a few pounds of many kinds of teas and other toys)

So long as the new one works, no complaints, right?
Right.
Meantime, I know some have said how they'd like the same kind of device with a digital temperature setting. It does, in fact, exist, for $30 more, at cooking.com.

Looks like the same manufacturer, too. And wouldn't you know, it's out of stock.

Amazon says it hasn't been released yet. It looks like it's pretty nice, though!
