As promised, here's the other cup from my recent order. By far one of the biggest cups I own, but I couldn't pass it up. Is it just me, or does this sencha taste better out of it?

Such an interesting shape to that cup! I like how they look next to each other. :)

Love especially that last combination, the ethereal blue against the rich dark textured kyusu

I must say, I'm really pleased. They were very much an impulse buy as I was after some smallish cups and I just decided to get these along with a bizen kyusu.

I wasn't even sure how much I was going to like them, which was a bit of a gamble considering the price. Now they're here, though, they're really amazing pieces both to look at and use. Photos don't really do them justice.

Artistic Nippon right? I've been drooling over those cups since I saw them. They are stunning. A little more pricy than other cups on the site, but I have seriously considered getting them. They are so much different from anything else I've seen on there.

I think there's still another set left. Do it!

With the kyusu I bought, too:

And the authentic silicone mat thing...

Is Mago no longer stocking Eiichi pieces? Not that I'm in the market, it's just been a while since I looked and he's only listed three items as far back as completed auctions go. Chawans are double the price they were in 2012! I guess I need to take good care of mine :o

I haven't seen much from Eiichi--only a couple of very pricey chawan and a water jar that have been sitting with Buy it now status because they're seriously expensive.

I don't usually criticize work that I don't like, but this falls into a category like few others that I know, UGLIEST HAGI CHAWAN. Would anyone else like to throw a rock at this one? I would have stepped on this one if I had made it.

It's a nice shade of blue, and it might grow on me if I only drank very fine teas from it.

It's a nice shade of blue but I find the combination of that color and that style to be jarring to the eye.
