I just love these topics. Here's one of mine that I've had for quiet a while.

However its rather large and i don't use it as often as perhaps i should.

Looks very Korean. This is a style the Japanese adapted from them.

I found this Noutomi Susumu Kysusu and smaller wan-s particularly inspiring today while enjoying Tsuyu Hikari fukamushi.

I have also been enjoying this Mukuhara Kashun Kyusu, Yunomi, Yuzamashi as of late after not using it for months. I think I finally figured this "set" out ... it was a bit big and an enigma for too long.

Now it is brewing magnificently ... and the Yunomi is perfectly sized.

Today it brewed Asatsuyu ...

Ecclectic pair of Mukuhara Kashun Guinomi purchased around a year apart. The first one shows a pickish hue from the wood firing ...Image

... the second interesting antler crawl ... Image

Nicked "The Eye of Mordor" complete with searing white flames and THE EYE ... this Guinomi Hagi from the very first Hagi SO is actually very mild mannered. Sea cucumber glaze by Yamane Seigan.

Wow nice photo's Chip.

Especially the last photo with Yamane's sea cucumber work seems very nice. I still occasionally check the sop sub-forum.

I'm still waiting for a whisk and spoon before i can start using some new wares, buuut i do have a camera right now so i could make some pictures in the near future, when my tea room is finally starting to form.

Thank you Fuut, though I am humbled by the photos of others. Still I click away with my phone and hope one day for a real camera.

There are several projects "in the fire" so to speak in the SO programs. I am learning patience as these have not proceeded at the pace of the past!!!

I am sure we are all looking forward to seeing your photos ... sooner than later. :!:

Haha nice. Coincidentally i received my whisk and spoon today. Now i really have a reason to finish the tea room as soon as possible. Photo's coming:)

I already decided on which chawan to use first, I'll be starting with the Shyrabbit chawan i purchased about a month ago. Its really nice and i hope that will shine through any photo's:)

Looking forward to seeing your photos, Fuut!

Another TeaChat Hagi Special Offer Program Hagi, Tempest by Yamane Seigan ... revisted ... often! As were all but a couple of the SOs, this round was completely customized for us and a limited run of only around 20 pieces.

Today Tempest was taking care of some serious Asatsuyu Special Edition fukamushi.

So enjoying this steady flow of Chip'sware - what a well-selected and lovely collection you have. Like any worthy interest, the first thing learned is how much there is to learn; I sure didn't expect my interest in tea to flow into an equally deep fascination with tea vessels. But that's what I read and study nowadays, barely scratching the surface, vast, rich subject, oh boy. :)

Great stuff - so much of interest has come of wandering into TC, thanks for it!

A pair of sansai (three color), tebineri (pinched) guinomi by Yamane Seigan. Purchased independently but usually used together. They have a nice hand-feel and a great personality. I like to think the one on the right is feminine and the one on the left is masculine ... and are paired with the user appropriately ... so to speak.

Image

La feminina ... shapely ... tapered and flared ... unusual for Hagi. Image

She even smiles when teadrunk (only on sencha!)

Those are really lovely and unusual--very colorful Sansai, and great size/form as well.
