My new Hagi (via Victoria) filled with Fukamushi Sencha Supreme. I absolutely love the feel of it and watching all the little crackles form.

Looking good CK! I like to think that dark clay spot is shaped like an angel's wing.

Oh, ahh, new hagi.
Chip, I love that last blue one on the previous page!
Victoria, your new bowl looks like it would be joy to hold, I love the grooves in the side of a bowl!
CK, how nice that you got angel wings to remind you of your sweet angel kitty.

Shira Oni Hagi Chawan

Here is another Hagi chawan, this time from the famous Yamane Seigan. This is one of his bigger chawans measuring 15cm (6" ) wide X 13cm (4.75") high. This chawan also has a "Mei" or title called "Hyo-ga" or "glacier". This chawan is best served with koicha (thick matcha tea). I have used it once at a formal tea party and the matcha looked exquisite in it! It cost me a small fortune, but it was well worth it!

Brilliant!
I've checked these "cuke" glazed items.
I suspect they are even cooler in person.

Well not all is expensive. But these are by masters of the craft.
