Yes I did change the blend :D I just thought that the new version would be an improvement – give it a try!

I quite like the Cancer, which I also received as an order promo, but I'm new to all this and can't figure out all the ingredients on sight (beyond the obvious chamomile). Could you please list the new ingredients?

Thanks!

Oh, so I got the OLD version with my Christmas order?

In that case, could you please tell me what's in the OLD version? :)

White Pear, Apricot Green and 10% of Foxtrot. If you think the old version was better let me know – I can always change it back. Thanks!

Scorpio Blend (Zodiac Series)

by JasonC » Jan 17th, '09, 19:22

Well, I just placed my first order with Adagio a few days ago, and received my order. It was packaged very well, and so far I am awash in exceptional teas( I ordered several samplers). To get to the point, I must extend my thanks to Inguna for coming up with this AMAZING Scorpio blend. I honestly had doubts about how it would taste after a sniff. I received the sample free of charge from Adagio with my order, thank you so much for that by the way. :)

The tea tastes simply amazing. It's hard to put into words, but you really can taste the vanilla and chocolate all sort of mixed in there, the mango I didn't taste as much, it was more of an undertone to my pallet. It brews up into a very nice cup. Definitely worth trying.. In closing, two thumbs up Inguna, great job on the blend. I will certainly consider purchasing a larger tin of this after my sample is gone.

Thanks,
--Jason

@ JasonC – thank you so much! Your compliment is very much appreciated. "Scorpio" is my most adventurous blend. I'm usually pretty conservative when it comes to blending.
@ Scottish and boywoodie – did change the Cancer blend back to what it was :)

And finally I have modified the Aquarius blend. That was the only blend from the Zodiac series that in my opinion needed some change.

Inguna - I got a sample Gemini with my first order and it's my favorite tea/blend so far. It's delicious. I'm almost out, and need to order more soon.

I also wanted to try the mix with a different white flavor instead of the peach. Do you think that you could make a special request blend with the Gemini and just replace the white peach with white tropics or tangerine for me? Or have you tried those out and they're not as good as the peach? I'm new to tea and don't want to guess the % and mess up something that is so good already. If not, I'll order some sample tins and give it the ole trial and error, and try to get close.

Thanks

bigjimid, I think you have to ask the Adagio people if they could do that for you. Alternatively, I could suggest the Daily Happiness blend http://www.adagio.com/signature_blend/b ... 484f55a0e0 which is very similar to the Gemini but has the blueberry flavor instead of peach.
Thanks for the interest!

I did see your Daily Happiness, however I don't usually like blueberry stuff other than vodka. So I was a bit skeptical. But maybe I'll give it a shot.

Thanks
Jim

I just got my cancer blend and it seems to have more apricot green and less white pear then the original cancer. It just might be me.....just wondering.(the blend is still delicious)

boywoodhe, please don't hate me: I know that the foxtrot was 10% but I night have forgotten the exact apricot green and white pear ratio

I'm glad it's still tasty!

@silvermage2000, Capricorn blend is a nice afternoon tea – smooth and you can really taste the coconut. Personally I like the coconut flavor but that's very subjective of course.
