I am a new customer and got my Capricorn today. What a surprise and the tea is very good. Some of my favorite flavors in there. I thought they saw what I ordered and made one up especially for me.

It's pretty subtle.

Hi Inguna,

Glad to hear the original Cancer will be sticking around, because I do quite like it :) In fact, I think I'll make myself a cup right now...

Question for you: How hot and long would you recommend the steeping be? As it's only 10% herbal, I'm guessing it should be similar to regular green/white steeping?

Cheers,
Scott

I think so, at least that's what I did. Not that I'm any expert :D

@ linnefaulk – I like coconut a lot. I think it ads creamy smoothness to the tea. But tastes differ ...

When making the blends I thought about my friends/people I know born under that particular sign. Of course I don't take it seriously – it's just fun :)

Brewing Cancer

by boywoodhe » Jan 25th, '09, 05:19

As a big Cancer fan...I brew the tea 3-4 mins.
The blend/tea is very forgiving, so you can brew it a bit longer and it wont taste bitter. One morning I forgot about my cup of tea (cancer) it was about 7 mins and it still tasted great. :o

You're right, it is pretty forgiving :) When I first got it, I saw the Chamomile and thought "herbal... I should steep this a while" and it turned out fine. Tried it last night with a green tea temp and steeping time of about 2 minutes, and it was very nice and delicate. It seems like you can vary the preparation to taste.

A very nice blend; thanks again, Inguna!

I am curious as to why we cannot leave reviews on the Adagio site if we got the free sample. I wonder how they determine the success if they won't take feedback. Is it based solely on reorders?

Inguna,

Tried the Capricorn sample yesterday. Me and my husband both loved it. We're new to tea, and prior to this we had never been fans of black tea. Thank you for making a wonderful blend!

I received a free tin of the Leo blend with my first order. Oh...My...God... that stuff is like liquid gold. Truly an amazing blend. Great job.

I ordered the Pisces blend and I. LOVE. IT.

It's wonderful both warm and cold. I'm enjoying it lukewarm right now, but going to park a couple more ice cubes in it. I never had a rooibos tea before and I was pleasantly surprised at the wonderful flavors I got from this blend.

The chamomile is a little strong for my tastes and kind of overshadows the other flavors, but this is still a perfect 'come home from work, cuddle up with a book' kind of tea. Makes me want to crack open some books just drinking this.

For anyone else considering this blend. I brewed mine for about 5-6 minutes in boiling water, and it wasn't bitter. I'm sure it could go longer, but I like a subtle flavor in my tea.

Thank you so much Inguna, for making this wonderful blend.

Thanks aminim00se :) I do like this bend as well. I have made it iced with some lemon – was very refreshing! It 60% Rooibos, 30% orange an just 10% Chamomile.
Chamomile adds some natural sweetness and I like watching the little flowers float.

My Aquarius sample was much beloved. I love vanilla and hazelnut, and it just could not go wrong. The black tea base is perfect, the vanilla light and sweet, and the hazelnut adding a creamy and toasty undertone. Thanks Inguna for the absolutely fantastic tea!

I wish there was a special Zodiac sampler pack- even at $20 or more I'd probably buy it! There are a few others I'd love to trry.
