All so lovely and tempting...

The linden was probably the best guess... I'm not sure what would be 'close' to that. Spruces and firs also great guesses, that only leaves me with oak!

That's a wonderfully rustic kyusu.

I came here to share yet another couple of pictures of one of my new tea trays from Mirka. I custom ordered it to get the size I wanted for a desk at a satellite office, and when asked what color/finish I wanted, forwarded a photo of the green teawares that I keep there. I took a few more photos of the tray in use on Friday, when the sun was coming through into the office, to show how nicely it goes with the 'green set'--the brown is a cool shade that looks terrific with the celadon and deep oribe

It handled a couple of days' worth of spills and overflow without leaking onto the desk--important especially because this is a shared office

It's just the right size--leaves enough extra space for a guest cup or two, but doesn't take up too much desktop real estate. Happy, happy, happy.
