Robert,
Your absence here is a bit concerning........ is everything working out OK after the fire?
Thinking about you and your family.
best,

Having fired kilns for close to 30 years now in which the power of fire was always contained and for the most part controled, I've gained new respect for fire in it's uncontroled state.
Will try to begin posting again soon.
Again, many thanks to all.

While out for a walk the other day I spotted a cherry tree full of buds which was just beginning to come to life. Our long spring, three months or so, can't be far off now......
Now that the disruption of the kitchen fire we had is just about over, I'm back in the studio working on new works for the Kisetsu Chawan subscription program as well as works for a show I was invited to do at the Bellevue Art Museum which opens in August along with another one focusing on teaware which is sponsored by Urasenke at the Seattle Japanese garden in July.
Below please find a recent chawan and thanks for looking.
Best,
R

Very interesting Chawan, Robert. Can you tell us about the piece including the glaze, etc? Thanks!
