I could not agree more. Your art is becoming more and more spectacular. It is a delight for the eye and I hope soon a delight for my hands
See you !

Very, very beautiful ginkgo! Just love 'that drip'! And the color is really working for me, along with the glaze, the texture ...ginkgo wrote:
Your works are very inspiring and I covet so many of them, I really need to have one of your creations, must get the captain of the ship to make it so.

I agree! seeing the before firing and after firing pics is amazing! I love love that blue-green-brown one!
Re: Ginkgo - Tea ware - Switzerland
I am working on a "serie" concept : i make bowls and glaze them and choose the number of that "série" . And then I select the one that i am really satisfied with.
The other of that "serie " are just broken.
Here, for exemple, I make 4 macha bowls with tenmoku and ohata glazes. We can see that ther is oil spot and some metallisation of the glaze.
First one :
Second one :
And the 2 others are eliminated.
Just here this is a very little "série" , with only 4 bowls at the beginning.
The purpose of that is to make some collection bowls that will be considerated like little sculptures . I am at the beginning of that process . But I do also others bowls as before !

Here is what we can call a " volcanic snow " bowl !
Just as the weather here in Switzerland : hot hot and hot so I dream of ice and snow .
(diam : 8,5 cm and haut : 8,5 cm / 2 shinos over ocre .)

Another beautiful piece, whose beauty I can even appreciate in my chilly office in Los Angeles, where it has been unusually cool and foggy the past couple of weeks.

I just looked back through your thread, did I read that you are firing in a small electric kiln? If so, that just blows my mind. Beautiful teawares.

Not easy to take pictures ! but here is one bowl ( diam.: 9 cm and haut.: 8.5 cm) , the inside is sorft and glossy and the outside bubbling , like crisp corn flakes !!
