Hi Cory...the firing was in an anagama kiln that has two attached catenary arch chambers. The overall firing lasted six days, but the front chamber (anagama) was three days. My work was on the front stack, front edges of the shelves. We use a combination of hard and soft woods. This particular firing reached c/12, and we put in eight bags of charcoal into the firebox at the end of the front kiln 's stoking, then sealed it.

Hi Cory...the kiln is located in South Dartmouth, MA., out in the countryside, close to Buzzard's Bay. We have a fairly large crew that fires...regulars, and there are always new folks. It is fired a couple of times a year, and holds 1000 plus pieces. Go to Chris Gustin's website and check it out.

Hi Chip...thanks for asking. My blog, at http://lmkoonceceramics.blogspot.com, has the most current postings. Usually, I list my email address for inquiries, as well as categorizing and numbering the pieces for identification, when I have new work presented in quantity.

thanks, Herb. I am very glad that you are enjoying the yunomi. It is a special piece, especially given the origin of the clay.
