Being one's webmaster (and I use the term "master" very lightly) has its advantages, but certainly its disadvantages...mainly the time involved. I spent yesterday updating my site with images from the September anagama firing. Please take a look when you have the time:

Beautiful work, Lucien. I particularly like the crackled shino guinomi. It's one of my favorite glaze types, this is a very striking example. Nice form too!

+1 on both these quotes.
Such awe-inspiring creations Lucien.
Very, very stunning indeed!
Looks like we may need more shelf space for our TeawareArtisan teawares.

Hello all...it has been a while since I have posted here. Just unloaded the anagama last weekend at Chris Gustin's studio down in South Dartmouth, MA. We fired in May and had the treat of Jeff Shapiro driving down from his studio in Accord, NY to load and fire with us. Here are a few of my pieces that came from that firing...

Love how the strong planes make them look like rough-hewn rock.

I recently had the wonderful opportunity to load and fire with Jeff Shapiro at his studio in Accord, NY. Jeff is a true master at his art, both in ceramic forms and wood firing. If you are unfamiliar with Jeff's work, you should check out his website at
http://www.jeffshapiroceramics.com and feast your eyes. We had a spectacular firing and here are a couple of my tea bowls that came out of the anagama. More images can be seen on my blog at
