I love the Hagi-esque spout on the new kyusus. What are the filters like?
They are built right into the wall, small holes but not super tiny, theres a picture on the link. I was thinking about speed of pour when I decided on those spouts. I also made a good few of these lidless kyuso  for really fast pours (no air resistance) and just all around ease of use, perhaps a travel teapot, or maybe for hojicha and such. Probably not for those who are set in their was though  I dunno, I just like experimenting.

Is there a link in this thread so I can see more?
EDIT: found the link. *thumbs up*

Keep up the good work Shawn ! :)
David, I just ran across this http://lavoieduthe.blogspot.com/2011/09 ... o-tea.html, because I saw it was driving traffic to my shop. Thanks so much!!

I'm having a need-to-make-room-in-the-studio-because-all-these-pots-are-in-my-way-and-it's-driving-me-crazy-sale :x  Here's one of the houjin prototypes I was working on a while back, it's an ugly little duckling but will function great, it pours perfect. Details in the description.

Pulled out a couple of pieces today from the kiln that represent a slightly new direction in my work. This little guy is about 100 ml. filled to the rim. I've been pretty busy in the studio and have made a lot of new teaware that should be finished up very soon. Stay tuned :D

It's so interesting that no one has sprung on that Kairagi-esque little cup you posted. Heck I almost swooped on it within 5 minutes of first seeing that post.

Nice work, Shawn! I like the Korean and Japanese influence.
