Hello everyone, I stumbled on this website from searching around through Google. I've been making pottery for a few years, and for the majority of the time I've focused on firing my work in either wood or salt kilns. I show my work in art shows and craft fairs around upstate South Carolina. I have a lot of fun making tea bowls. I am fascinated by Japanese pottery forms. I am really excited about getting feedback on my work from people who use tea ware regularly.

Here are some links to a couple of my web pages:

Here are a few of my favorite pieces that I have made over the past few years:

Thanks. I've hoped that you have enjoyed that cup.

That is how I found this site. I'm planning on reading up about the green teas. I'm a novice when it comes to teas besides sweet ice tea. I use green tea with matcha powder that I get from the grocery store in my tumblers. A few weeks ago, I bought some Rishi sweet matcha powder that I noticed at the store, but it is really sweet. I didn't see a non sweet version.

You could of meet me at one of the NCECA conferences in the past few years when I was a student at Clemson. I went to the conferences in Baltimore, Indianapolis, and Portland. Mike Vatalaro was my teacher at Clemson.

I'm slowly finishing setting up my studio which I am getting very excited about since I have not had regular access to studio space the past year. I do have a finished web page now: http://www.simmonsceramics.com
