Peter definitely has beautiful pieces. I use mine everyday except I broke the lid and luckily My other shibo's lid fit. Oh well, wabi-sabi. :) I hope to be able to afford another piece in the future.

Beautiful work peter. :) You were right unglazed on the inside does work better than glazed. I love the smell of mine after it has dried. It smells like fresh grass.

mine is glazed inside, and it smells very good too.
in a few years, i will not need to add tea leaves to get a sencha in my shibo

I ordered 1 cup and 1 pitcher by Petr (via darjeeling.cz) about 2 weeks ago... did not receive yet... I can't wait !!!
Yes, the shipping is the sad part...but two weeks is still ok. I had recently one package on the road more then four months. It was going probably by traditional way- camels caravan. Happily, it is mostly much better.

We are just in the middle of glazing and loading so here is just one picture from last week- some new, unfinished, dwellings for pu-ehr cakes.

Great looking set-up, Brandon ... and Petr!

What size is the kettle?

Hi Brandon, Thank you very much for sharing those pictures! Seeing the stove+kettle set as a part of such Cha Xi gives meaning to my work.

Chip- the kettle can hold around 0,5l water

Our kiln is cooling down...Here are two shots of two snake skin shibos under 1200+°C (I am sure my camera doesn't like me for doing this...)

great pics !
... and sad news : i've just broken my shibo's lid. I'm desperate. :(

Petr, what kind of shiboridashis are in your kiln ? Galzed ? Unglazed ? Stoneware ? I really need a new one, unless you provide spare parts, but I'm not sure that you have a black magda shibo lid in stock...

Hi Sébastien, Send me size of the broken lid and I will try to find new one in my extra-lids box.

There are, as usually, diferent styles of shibos in the kiln. But as we have some work and traveling, it will just take a time to take pictures...For now available now album is uptodate... https://picasaweb.google.com/1182362173 ... ailableNow

I send you the size asap (as soon as I glue back together my exploded lid).

a good news now, my wife just called me (to comfort me) : my order from darjeeling.CZ is delivered !
available album is uptodate
I guess... I check it almost everyday :)

Wow, always ... "cool" to get a look inside a fired up kiln and see actual pieces! Thanks Petr.

Good luck on the replacement lid search, vacuithe.
