Here are some pictures of some work I am getting ready for my Etsy page. They are from the last firing of my large kiln. I am in the process of cleaning out my kiln for the next firing and so am finally unloading the last of the work and going through it. These pieces are made from a clay that looks like basalt rock. Light but very rough looking.

I started unloading my kiln yesterday after almost 9 days of cooling. The very first piece of wood I put in I dropped wrong and smashed this shelf knocking about 10 pieces everywhere.

Oh no!!

But otherwise some absolutely beautiful results!! 9 days to cool down... whew.

Bummer, that had to "hurt." Nice explosion on the last photo, I forget what that is called? But nice spider legs.

I have gotten about 3/4 of my last firing unloaded and cleaned. Here are 5 pictures of bowls from the firing.
