David,

I am also working on something via a ceramic orginization here in the USA that I am on the Board of Directors of.

What an awful mess. Heartbreaking.

best,

...............john

PS: I am assuming that Nara only got a bit of "a shake" out of this?

For those of you makers on TC, if you wish to donate work for auction to help Japan, Ayuni Horie is coordinating a nationwide event to help raise funds. She can be reached at ayumihorie@gmail.com or through her web site http://www.ayumihorie.com.

I will be making multiple donations is this effort to, in some small way, ease the suffering of the people in Japan during these very trying times.

I kindly ask you to please do what you can to help.
Best wishes from Boston,
Rob

Here are some pictures of some work I am getting ready for my Etsy page. They are from the last firing of my large kiln. I am in the process of cleaning out my kiln for the next firing and so am finally unloading the last of the work and going through it. These pieces are made from a clay that looks like basalt rock. Light but very rough looking.

Bummer, that had to "hurt." Nice explosion on the last photo, I forget what that is called? But nice spider legs.
