Re: Andrzej Bero - Journey through the Mud
dshu, I like very much merging my shibo with Petr's cup.
iGo, oh first time I can see them togather. Nice.
Thanks guys for your supportive report.
debunix, Chip thanks for your words compliment these pieces:)
And Now For Something Completely Different ... this chawan was chosen for exhibition in Korea ( 3rd MunGyeong International Chasabal Ceramic Competition). Happy. Unhappy not going this year personal. Hope next year.

Re: Andrzej Bero - Journey through the Mud
Nice one, Andrzej.
Is the glaze mainly spar?
I too was not able to go this year.... I'll be in Yixing and it overlaps the dates. Maybe next year if we both get invited again.
best,
.................john

Re: Andrzej Bero - Journey through the Mud
John, thank you.
That is my dream to get confirmed invitation for next year, about your I have no doubt:)
Sorry, I do not understand word "spar" in this context. This is ash glaze, dry with shrinked part on one side and bottom. Too rough could say chanoyu senseis I know but exhibitions has probably different rules.JBaymore wrote:Is the glaze mainly spar?

Sorry.... US colloquial abbreviation for "FELDspar". Looks like a glaze that is mainly composed of a feldspar with a small amount of flux sources.
Yeah..... a lot of the teabowls that potters seem to like so much are not really suited for actual Chanoyu use. But if the interior whisking zone is smooth, it should still be OK and the tactile exterior adds something for the hands to experience.andrzej bero wrote:Too rough could say chanoyu senseis I know but exhibitions has probably different rules.
Thanks for the kind words. Yeah, I'm looking forward to seeing Yixing.
best,

Re: Andrzej Bero - Journey through the Mud
Andrzej Bero,
Greetings!
I looked at your blog as well as at your teaware on Darjeeling and Five Star and really appreciate your work. I'd like to purchase a pot from your Picasa site. What is the best method for doing this?
Thank you,
Scott
