Ken Kang-Hawaii ceramics

by Ken Kang
My name is Ken Kang, potting in Honolulu, Hawaii for the last 38 years. I was invited here by Cory Lum, good friend and excellent potter. I do cone 10 stoneware in my own converted electric to propane kiln. For the last 15 years my interest in Chanoyu ceramic utensils has taken me in different directions in making ceramic ware. There's lots of satisfaction but for me it is very hard to achieve or come close to perfection, if there is such a thing in Chanoyu ware.
Here are a few pictures of my work. I Make and refinish my own wood covers for my mizusashis and chaires.
Aloha

Oh, very cool chawan (all are very cool, but some we must individually be moved by).

But, you must show feetsies! That is the unwritten rule!
