I know that you can always custom-order smaller pots, but I'm curious as to why so many of these pots being sold are very large (by my definition at least). Is it actually more common to see larger pots from the workshops in Yixing?

in north of china, all people like big teapots(about 400ml) with 4-6 cups, because many people can drink and talk together.

in sourth of china, they like small but not too small, they like 170ml-250ml teapots.

we have two main markets, one is beijing, qingdao, dalian, tianjin they like big teapots. one is guangzhou they like 170-250ml teapots.

Ok. I was wondering the same thing.

Sadly I don't have anybody to drink with. :( Therefore I prefer small pots.

When I try to access your website, it appears to be down. When will it be up again?

I am intrigued by the top photo of your 3 Shi Pao teapots.

How are the Chinese characters applied to the pot. Are the pots half hand made, then the characters etched into the clay before being coloured?

I notice that the pricing of the pots suggests this does not incur an additional cost!

- - - - -

I have been building up quite a collection of teapots and at times it is quite difficult to remember all the salient features and details of each pot.

If I were to place an order for several teapots - from the same mold but each made from a different clay would it be possible to have the name of the clay etched into the pot without incurring additional cost?

It would be interesting to try the effect of different clays on a tea, when all the other parameters were equal, but would be meaningless if one confused the clays!

I see you are active in other forums, it would be nice if you could edit this thread (many images now missing) and update all the size and clay info on the zishateapot site teapots under 200ml

Hi, I'm from Yixing, China.
The Chen currently posting on the rest of the forum does not seem to be the same Chen. It could be someone in her office using her account which happened before and caused problems :?: Not to mention posting links etc throughout the forum. Chen knows better :!:

Use of a user name in a corporate manner, and the recent activity is not consistant with use of a user name, forum rules, as well as TeawareArtisans. Not to mention the state of this topic.

I have PMed finddream with no response. "She" opened it, just chose not to reply. Although Chen would normally reply to my PMs.

Thus I post here. I have concerns in general and regarding TeawareArtisan status which is a privilege. I have concerns regarding numerous comments I have heard throughout the forum. I have concerns regarding posting links and general spamming of the forum (which is a clear violation of TA guidelines which Chen and I have spoken about).

I am feeling this is not what we want in a TeaChat TeawareArtisan, and it is a poor reflection on the forum.

I have had a discussion with Chen and have addressed all my concerns. I am satisfied with the results as long as she follows through which I believe she will.
