Thanks everyone.
More wood fire items up in the next couple days. All yunomi left to list.
There is going to be a LARGE chawan firing in two weeks with pics in probably three weeks. Haven't glazed anything yet, all drying. I will be sure to do a lot of the orange crackle stuff but there is going to be a lot more smooth this time as I didn't use the feldsparic clay. Might have time to do a few more. We'll see.

So does my wife. I had to price it at more than she would pay to keep it. It's really hers if no one buys. Sometimes I price it at where anything less and I would keep it myself. Still fall in love with pieces from time to time.Aphroditea wrote:they are all beautiful! I especially like the dark grey/black piece at the top - the color is fantastic! I also like te koge-koge one as well, nice texture!

Throwing like a fiend. Have about 60 pieces ready to fire. I won't get that much space sharing with Joel, but will get a lot in. Probably about 40 pieces including some tests. I will probably have 20-30 pieces good enough to show.
There will be a range of chawans about 20, trying something new here. Will have a range of glazes. I want to work towards a sea-cucumber glaze, but we'll see...
2 orange crackle chawan
There are 7 orange crackle yunomi of various sizes. 13 Monk's cups that I am going to experiment a little with.
11 plates from 6-9", 5 with feldspar bubbles so they will be ornamental.
4 Hanaire, two of which are beasts and two are going to hopefully be interesting
30 glaze tests tiles and blending strips in two clay bodies.
A couple of water containters one with the iron that I was talking about earlier.
2 cactus pots, one square
8 small cups that will be oxidation fired later. Beautiful clay, but will melt to a puddle in soda at that temp.
I think that is it. We (Joel and I) will fire on Saturday. We will unload on Monday or later and probably have some pics by Saturday, so about 2 weeks.
I am sort of resisting posting here on my thread unless I have some news. I get bombarded by so much "Non-news-but-I-think-you-ought-to-hear-about-it-anyway" mails and tweets and posts that I want my posts to stand out.

Re: Small Monk's Cups
Any progress to report, I keep checking, I hope I have not missed them!Moss wrote:OK. I will do some, see how they go. 40-90ml, open and closed forms, soda and some in oxidation.
I can do that color. That is a shino in hard reduction with the teadust interior.
I will do a bunch of tests and post them here when done.
Best wishes from Cheshire

Hey. I forgot those. I have three just as a starting place. I will have them done with the others.
However, redid the finances and have to put the firing off a month. Two toddlers and one just went to preschool so $ tight. :-(
Fortunately bisqueware doesn't go stale. :-)

Yart sale on Etsy
Etsy is having a yart sale for the next four days and I will be a part of that.
Everything on my Etsy store is 20%off till midnight Pacific on the 14th. It is hard to reprice on Etsy, so rather than change the prices, I will credit you back 20% from your purchase via PayPal.
Thanks for everyone's support and sorry this is a little commercial, but I wanted to let people know.

Thanks on the glazes. As I have said to a few people here, you guys "get it" and I appreciate that. Cory's work. Colorado's, Joel's, all of it grabs your soul and inspires. I am lucky to be able to share my work here with these guys.
