It's going great so far (other than a bout with a flu :( ), I'm done glazing, getting ready to clean the bottoms free of glaze, make some wadding and glue the wads on the feet. Just came in from working on the kiln. Checking the kiln over, adjusting the openings in the sutema (a bagwall of sorts at the rear of the chamber, separating it from the "colder" chimney. I want a little more pull across the floor ( I had a little too much originally so I installed this to help even out the kiln. It worked as I got within a half cone top to bottom and side to side (39" high and 54" wide) and approx. a cone and a half front to back (almost 5' long) So I made the lower openings approx. 15- 20% bigger and it should be spot on. I still adjust the active dampers all through the firing to have the flame run high or low depending on the ware's color. For example, if the middle is yellow and the top is yellow orange, I'll push in the dampers an inch or more to make the flame roll across the top of the chamber for an hour or so, then go on to what's needed next...
Then I will take about two days to load. So other than the flu stalling my progress for 4-5 days, I'm on schedule-ish. Excited to fire. :D
Cheers,
Bill

Hi everyone,
I am still unable to figure out why my flickr account won't give me the size of the picture in my URL info when I'm trying to post pictures on here. I get a message in my preview saying I need the "size" to be able to use the pictures. So forgive me for not having pictures to post from my recent firing. I have started listing on my etsy site and have listed some of many tea bowls and a kyusu amongst other things if you want to check them out.

https://www.etsy.com/shop/splitfirepottery?ref=si_shop

Thank you and I hope to figure the URL problem. If any of you are computer savy and have a suggestion I am all ears! The only thing different is that I changed from Mozilla Firefox to Internet Explorer because of problems with Mozilla.
Cheers,
Bill

Something is different in how Flickr and the TeaChat forum are interacting, and I have no idea what it is, but I can no longer post from Flickr (not that I've put any new shots there since they so badly screwed up the site a year ago). I checked my old links from images that worked like from an old post in your TA SO topic:

[url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/debunix/6745540847/][img]http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7024/6745540847_1480512264.jpg[/img][/url]

and compare them to link for the same image freshly requested

[url=https://flic.kr/p/bh5Ehp][img]https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7024/6745540847_1480512264.jpg[/img][/url][url=https://flic.kr/p/bh5Ehp]Shino-glazed Scallop Yunomi - 20[/url] by [url=https://www.flickr.com/people/65879219@N00/]debunix[/url], on Flickr

And the only difference I can find in the actual link to the image is that little httpS in

https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7024/6745540847_1480512264.jpg

so if you copy the link from flickr (get a link -> BB code (no more than medium size) -> paste to TeaChat -> delete only that little S, it will still work fine.

Yet another way Flickr is driving away their users!

P.S. I disabled BB code in this post so I could show the actual code. I'll post the same thing basically minus the new link that doesn't work and with BB code enabled, so you can see my pretty scallop yunomi from Bill

Some really lovely misty blue cups with drizzles and splashes in this latest firing, now showing up on etsy. I can link to their listings but not show the images here, so here's one to whet the appetite....

More lovely things posted on Bill's Etsy site, including a quite special pale chawan....
