Yeh, you're right, it would be a convenient idea to include appropriate links in the current post. I was a bit concerned about being overly solicitous...,

Awesome pieces...I really would love to touch all of them! The chawan seem to say "relax, enjoy a moment of peaceful reflection"...ahhhh.

Thanks for the pictures.

I love bigger yunomi too... 8-12 oz. I know smaller is more traditional, but unless I'm drinking gyokuro, I rarely put less than 8 oz. in a cup at one time.

That chawan Victoria just recently posted of yours... with the amazing crawl and colors... I would go to great lengths to get a larger yunomi with that glaze... wow, really amazing. Your work is beautiful!

Thanks for all the input on yunomi preferences, I found it helpful.

I thought I would post a few images of bisqued yunomi, they range in size from 8-10 ounces. They will lose some volume when glaze fired, approx. 9%.

I also just listed 8 chawan from the last firing in my etsy shop at:
http://www.shyrabbit.etsy.com

Thanks again for looking,
Michael

Wow! Awesome shapes...perfect for wrapping the hands around and yet nice sized feet and a nice rim for each so if the tea is HOT one can hold it without scorching the tender digits! When the posts started about the dream cup, these type shapes came to mind, but I couldn't create words to describe them.

As long as I'm going on about a dream cup...I'd love color and visual interest on the outside and white (or nearly white) on the inside.

Can't wait to see these babies when they get all finished up!!!

Thanks for letting us peep in on their "incubation".

Thanks again to those that commented on the bisqueware yunomi, the feedback is helpful. Also, I like hearing from you on your preferences for glazes and glazing combinations, again very helpful.

Michael

I thought I would post images of a new chawan that I particularly like.

Well...I can certainly comment on my fav's I have seen on your dmcarts.com site!
let me list em :)
Y03 is super hot (pun intended)
y04..love it..warm and cozy feeling
reaaaly like all the "shino and ash" ones y08,10,11, along with that y12 slip

I think that Y11 one is probably my favorite combo of shape and glaze..I really dig on that one but they are all so great looking to be honest!
