I love bigger yunomi too... 8-12 oz. I know smaller is more traditional, but unless I'm drinking gyokuro, I rarely put less than 8 oz. in a cup at one time.

That chawan Victoria just recently posted of yours... with the amazing crawl and colors... I would go to great lengths to get a larger yunomi with that glaze... wow, really amazing. Your work is beautiful!

Thanks for all the input on yunomi preferences, I found it helpful.

I thought I would post a few images of bisqued yunomi, they range in size from 8-10 ounces. They will lose some volume when glaze fired, approx. 9%.

Wow! Awesome shapes...perfect for wrapping the hands around and yet nice sized feet and a nice rim for each so if the tea is HOT one can hold it without scorching the tender digits! When the posts started about the dream cup, these type shapes came to mind, but I couldn't create words to describe them.

As long as I'm going on about a dream cup...I'd love color and visual interest on the outside and white (or nearly white) on the inside.

Can't wait to see these babies when they get all finished up!!!

reaaaly like all the "shino and ash" ones y08,10,11, along with that y12 slip

I think that Y11 one is probably my favorite combo of shape and glaze..I really dig on that one but they are all so great looking to be honest!
