Thanks iannon and Chip I appreciate you keeping an eye on my stuff.
Here's today's Shino Glazed Matcha Chawan from this week's firing. It measures 3-1/8" h. x 5-1/8" dia. and was fired to ∆10 (2345F). This piece is half carbon trapped and half not, it never ceases to amaze me how many different little micro environments there can be in a reduction kiln, particularly in a small one.
Thanks for looking,
Michael

Thanks for the supportive comments on the Shino, Ash and Rutile glaze Chawan above. This piece went pretty quick to a new collector of my work on Etsy. I will post a few more images of the piece here soon...Here's today's Tenmoku and Nuka glazed Yunomi group. I chose to post this image as it shows how different this glaze combination can be given various surface features and differing glaze thicknesses.
Thanks for looking,
Michael

Triple the loveliness.
I just enjoyed a very nice afternoon with their little cousin yesterday, enjoying one of the powerful young shengs that require careful handling to keep them under control--very short infusions, drunk quickly, as they will become bitter if left too long to cool. This one is perfect for that

I'm working with some really minimal glazes...This little cup is glazed only with Feldspar. I used india ink, as a "speed ager", to see what the crazing pattern was like...I will use red iron oxide, cobalt or some other oxides and re-fire to create a permanent pattern. More later...Michael

Wow you got mad skills.
I literally can't choose between those 3 as a favourite. They are all perfectly lovely.
