Thanks for the kind words, I really appreciate it.

I though I would post an image of a resent Twice Fired Ash Tenmoku Chawan. This piece was reduction fired to cone 10 (2345 F) and then fired again in my gas kiln under neutral to oxidation conditions to
cone 08 (1760 F). In this case the tenmoku developed a rich matte finish with depth.

Thanks...luscious is a good adjective both for the visual and hand feel.

Yes, I take a typical Nuka glaze (mine has some ash in it) and add 2-4% copper carb. Needs good reduction or this glaze is flat & pale.

mixed fish scale glaze 1 and glaze 2

i added 0.5 % iron oxide for some hopefully blue/celadon look.

hehe.

cone 10 reduction. reduction was medium.

i'm firing maybe as soon as tomorrow. will see if i can get repeatable results
