I love me some shupu in the evening. Very calming, great way to end the day!

Well not if you have any caffeine sensitivity.nickE wrote:I love me some shupu in the evening. Very calming, great way to end the day!

Hmm, I've never ordered from Pure Puer so I'm not sure Although I can tell you that I like most of Menghai and Haiwan's shupu. They are pretty reliable.Plant pa... wrote:nickE, I am hoping to get some from pure puer but I am wanting to know what is recommended from this vendor
So anything from then I guess? Maybe someone else who knows more about the vendor can give you some more advice.
Haha Guess I don't then, because I usually have no problem getting to sleep.Victoria wrote:Well not if you have any caffeine sensitivity.nickE wrote:I love me some shupu in the evening. Very calming, great way to end the day!
However, in my younger days I drank a Red Bull almost every morning. That might have something to do with it.

Mugicha is nice but it's roasted flavor isn't for everyone, I personally find it extremely refreshing as an iced drink, the barley naturally has a little bit of sweetness to it. Def. worth a try, I get it here:plant partaker wrote:I've heard of that. Have you tried it Iced? What vendor would you recommend? I know Dens Tea carries it.

Oops, missed your question Plant Partaker. Sorry about that!
I have had ready-to-drink bottles of mugicha from Japanese markets and I find it very refreshing on hot days. I'm afraid I don't know a ton of vendors- I tend to get mine from Lupicia (lupiciausa.com) or pick up bags from the Japanese market.

My favorite at night is actually a tisane. I love licorice root or dandelion tea right before bed. I find that the excessive amounts of sugar actually lead me to a sugar crash and I fall asleep very soundly. That doesn't work for everyone though, so another option I know many people like is mint. I know that if you have a caffeine sensitivity that you really shouldn't be drinking tea of any kind before bed unless it is a tisane.
