What, no Pu-erh in the poll. Trying to make enemies?
Edit: Pu-erh added for the sake of keeping peace.

I like flavored black tea the best. Herbal comes in as a close second. I also am developing a love for oolong. There are actually no types of tea that I have tried yet that I absolutely do not like.

Re: Poll: Favorite Tea
I have used my mod powers and added Pu-erh. However this resets all options to 0. So, if you voted before, vote again.
BTW, this question or similar is asked at the end of most months in the TeaDay Poll.
Yeah, green. For life.

In order from favorite to DO NOT LIKE.
1. Green, definitely my favorite
2. Puerh, has more personality to me but that can go both ways
3. Oolongs and Blacks, I like only a select few of each type.
4. Tisanes (mainly lemongrass and mints)
5. Whites, I just can't like

I don't have a particularly strong preference among those I do like, but I know for sure I don't like white tea or all the oolongs I've had. Just not to my taste. I haven't had pu-erh at all, but I would love to. I have a special place in my heart for chamomile+mint herbal tisanes, though, especially with a little bit of honey - when I was young, I had a cup of it whenever I was feeling sick or had a headache, and it always cleared things up. So it brings back good memories, as well as being delicious.

For me:
1) Whites
2) Blacks
3) Tisanes
4) Greens
I haven't made up my mind about oolongs and pu-erhs yet, I need to sample more.
I've tried green tea from Adagio, SpecialTeas, and Den's. I still consider it just okay, I can't seem to really like it.

For me, preference definitely leans towards black and oolong, sometimes flavored, sometimes not. I have to be in the mood for it, but I do love a good white tea, and I'm hoping to try some good green tea this year to bump that higher up the priority list.

Re: Poll: Favorite Tea
My favorite type overall has to be oolong, because I love them all, dark roasted Ti Kuan Yin, fruity and earthy WuYi, floral and sunny low oxidized Ali Shans, and wonderfully varied Dan Congs.
Puerhs would be next, smoky earthy sweet, calming and grounding.
I had a lot of trouble with green tea at first, but have finally started to figure it out, and now a couple of green teas are among my favorites--a gorgeous Yunnan Mao Feng from norbutea.com has most recently captured my palate.
Black teas are another troublesome area: Yunnan gold black teas and imperial dian hong are wonderful, but keemun is iffy, and although they smell fabulous, I can't handle the assams, whether from lipton or a single estate first flush. The bitterness overwhelms the rest on those.
And while I used to drink a lot of green tea with jasmine, I've cut way back as I've found satisfying flavors in other teas. Similarly, while the silver needle white tea is still very nice, as I've gotten more skill with green teas, I find the silver needle is getting neglected in the back of the cupboard.

Greens. I used to find black tea to taste ok, but now that I am enjoying more greens, I find black tea tastes...putrid. Like a rotten green (which it is
).
White tea is nice too, however.
