Learn me something....

by ChaoticDiva » Dec 1st, '10, 02:29

Ok, first, I'd like to apologize for not being on here as much as promised. So howdy-hello to those of y'all that welcomed me in the intros and the Teavana thread.

But yeah. I'm one of those people who likes tea, but barely steps out of her comfort zone outside of work. I'm mostly an earthy/sweet green tea, rich black tea, and peppermint drinker, although there are times that I will venture into Honeybush territory. I like simple flavors, and teas that taste good both iced and hot.

With that being said, any suggestions for teas I should try?

First thing that comes to mind is Feng Qing Gold Tips from Yunnan Sourcing. Definitely fits the bill of rich black tea.

If you're ordering from Scott, then you could also try these two in the same shipment:

MOJIANG "GOLD NEEDLE" YUNNAN BLACK TEA

YUNNAN "BLACK GOLD BI LUO CHUN" SPRING 2010

FMT, I find these two provides a richer, spicier flavour than the Feng Qing. After drinking these one may wonder what's all the fuss with adding spices and milk to make chai teas when these two are so spicy au naturel.
