Re-fired teas: Stale or vintage?

What are your thoughts on re-fired teas? Is this the tea equivalent of rolling back the speedometer on a used car, or does intentional aging and re-firing actually improve tea quality? Should one expect the price on re-fired teas to be less than that of fresh teas?
