Where to buy Korean tea

I see a Korean teaware topic, but where can I buy good quality Korean tea, and where can I learn about it.

To get you started, you can contact Daniel at darjeeling.cz and ask him what he has in stock. He is in your part of the world and his prices are reasonable. He buys directly in Korea and he's a nice guy and friend of Petr Novak.

FYI, I was trying to go to Hankook's retail store today to buy some tea, and it looks like it may be gone--the sign was gone. I was not sure enough of my directions--circled several blocks for a while to see if I was mistaken--to see it up close, but checking back with google maps now I am quite sure that I did have the right place, and the sign is being removed.

Oh no. I was planning to go there this weekend but decided not to after only getting their voicemail every time I called.

I would send an email to Arthur at Morning Crane Tea as well. They don't have an online store up and running yet, but he is starting to sell tea and the quality of what I've had has been excellent. His teaware (he is also a potter) is pretty fantastic, too, and I know that he is selling work from Korean potters in addition to tea.

I highly recommend the Se-Jak

but, becareful brewing it. it burns easy.

Really, perhaps the temp is the issue. The se-jak from ccp has been a pretty easy brewer for me so far.

Someone on another forum called them to check, and they are still open for both retail and online business (as of the time of writing).

Update ... brewed in a Korean vessel, preheated, 155* and it came out really nice and sweet.

So, it is fairly easy as long as some care is taken with temps is my conclusion.

So glad to hear it! Wonder what was up with the sign when I went? Maybe getting maintainance?
