"A Date with Chinese Tea
2012.08.29 – 2013.04.01
Chinese tea comes in huge varieties. The modern method of classification is based on the way tea is processed, which yields six major types - green tea, black tea, oolong tea, white tea, yellow tea and pu’er-type tea. This exhibition features different types of tea presented in different colour-coded galleries, each with artefacts and historical backgrounds to the tea-drinking practice. As you walk through the different sections, you can transcend time and space to visit the histories and tea-drinking practices of the world, such as the ancient Tea Horse Road of the Tang dynasty, the etiquette of tea-drinking in Britain, the unique tea culture of Hong Kong etc..
Complete with an education corner and various interactive games, it promises to be a wonderful journey of tea suitable for all ages."

Sounds very interesting, thank you for the information. Maybe some of our members will be able to check it out in person.

Thanks Chip! The last time I went to the tea museum it was a middle school field trip and most of the kids spent their time there messing around. I thought it was interesting, even back then, and thought the other kids were being very disrespectful to thousands of years of culture! It's definitely time for a second visit!
