A Humorous Introduction to Chanoyu/Japanese Tea Ceremony

by 茶藝-TeaArt08 » Dec 26th, '13, 20:19

I saw this while searching Youtube for tea ceremony videos. I'm not going to lie, especially since my wife is not on TeaChat, I was first drawn to the video by the beautiful woman. :D But soon the video had me laughing, especially the end:

Very good, but not as good as the satire youtube video that was circulating on TC several years ago where a pretty Japanese woman was preparing sencha.

The video started out seriously as she started by pouring tea in the pot nice and neatly by the spoonful and then ended up dumping what must have been 50 grams into the kyusu making quite a mess in the comical process.

It hit home around here since we all seemed to be on the same wavelength at the time, thinking the Japanese added soooo much leaf to the pot after watching the more serious Ippodo videos, etc..

Anyone have the link to this video?
