Tea and Kickstarter

by Drax » Dec 6th, '14, 09:17

This topic is probably not what you think. Sadly, most of the Kickstarters that involve tea have been pretty lame (yes, my opinion).

But...! I went on a Kickstarter rampage, so to speak, earlier this year, and pledged on a number of things. But for fun, when they involved customization, I requested tea-related stuff. So we may see tea-related characters cropping up in some games and such in the next year or so.

The first example: some Canadian authors were translating their pirate tale into English. For the second volume, one of the guys drew a sketch of one of the characters drinking tea for me.

I love it! Anyway, more to follow as the tea-infused projects start to appear.....!

Those rewards are pretty slick. I enjoy their Misty Mountain.

Hahahaha.... I'm one of the people to be rescued in the Adventures of Pip. Here's a picture of me in the game, after I rescued myself, and what I say....!

Sigh, kickster attractiveness is inversely proportional to the amount of money I can actually spend :|

Though, since slogging through the last few years of disappointment in the RPG/TTG kickstarter world, maybe that's for the best!

Another tea inspired thing I got from Kickstarter....

I backed a very neat looking game called Rain World. It involves a 'slug cat' trying to survive in a world with many creatures that want to eat it, and while avoiding the heavy rains that fall.

But one of the rewards was a custom plushie. I went with a two-tone green color (i.e., a tea-themed slug cat). And it came today. It's AWESOME.

Chalk up another entry of tea into a video game...

I had a "gravestone" in the new game Animal Gods, and I used a paragraph of the "Seven Cups" poem (the 7th cup) for the epitaph.

:D
