Underrated Tea Brands

by InTeaItrust » May 18th, '15, 10:07

I think that Wegman’s tea is completely underrated and the quality is right up there with Twinings, Lipton, Bigelow and all the leading brands. Does anyone have any brands that they feel are underrated? I would love to hear about it and try the brands. :)

Wegman's brand? I get some sencha looseleaf there to hold me over from time to time. I just got Megami sencha from Kagoshima til shincha arrives. It is decent, but 80 bucks a pound ... it should be.

I think it is sourced from Ito-en?

Chip,
Wegmans is a family-owned US regional supermarket chain located in Gates, NY and has over 85 stories. They specialize in providing a lot of organic products to their customers. I will look into purchasing some megami sencha. Thanks for the suggestion :)

What I meant was, I think Wegman's gets some of their tea and wares from Ito-En.

I am sure it is right up there with Lipton.

Thanks.

I've seen Stash tea become more and more popular, but I used to think they were highly underrated. I'll be sure to check out Wegman's though!

While I like that Wegmans gives an option to buy a nice variety of teas locally. I have generally found that I can order a far better tea for the same price including shipping.

If you’re one of those people who thinks you’re not a tea person, give oolong tea one a shot. It’s refreshing and is basically like drinking fruit punch, rather than tea.

Yet another copied quote ... in this case paraphrased regarding wild berry zinger from Celestial Seasonings. Go figure ...
7. Celestial Seasonings Wild Berry Zinger

If you’re one of those people who thinks you’re not a tea person, give this one a shot. It’s fruity and refreshing and is basically like drinking fruit punch, rather than tea.
Bye bye ...

Some of the teas at Pete's Coffee are really not bad...the Tieguanyin is enjoyable and comparably cheap.....
