Storage question
What do you suggest storing a bagged Silver Needle white tea in ? I just received it and accidentally put a hole in the bag, so I'm looking to put it in something else..

Re: Storage question
In a leftover tin from another tea
Put damaged bag and all in a ziplock bag
In a canning jar or other jar with a tight sealing lid (out of the light)
In a clean food-grade plastic storage container (tupperware or tupper-like)
Just be sure what you put it in is clean and free of odors, silver needle is so delicate and could easily be wrecked by picking up an off smell.

Re: Storage question
Tea can store well with limited degradation fro some time.. Storing in a container without other contaminant smells is of course important but the two elements most important to storage are keeping the tea a room temperature and out of direct sunlight. So as previously indicated, a tea tin works quite well because you can insure protection against sunlight. But you can also store it in a glass container in a dark or shaded place. Glass doesn't have the chemical odor diffusion issues that storing it in plastic might.
