Did this 2 years ago, time for Round 2! I am curious to see if the results will change individually and/or corporately. Thanks to the Mrs. for suggesting this revisit.
Here is the original topic. http://www.teachat.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=6397
Which do you prefer, or in what order do you like them?
Asamushicha, light steamed sencha
Chumushicha, mid steamed sencha
Fukamushicha, deep steamed sencha

Re: 2 years later, Asa, Chu, Fuka: name your 'mushicha!
Thanks, Chip. I have been enjoying Shincha (and sencha) so much with Chip, that I thought it would be fun to revisit this topic and see if preferences have remained the same or changed over the years.
Currently, and I say this without fail, fuka is my fave! Yutaka Midori Supreme (then the Classic) from O-Cha is my hands down winner!

Fukamushicha is my fav! Currently my opened sencha is a Chumushicha, but I have some YM Supreme in cold storage that I think its about time to break open!

Fukamushi is go-to Sencha for me. All I really look for is tons of umami and veggie. With Asa I look for a really complex cuppa that is nice & balanced. I find that for me, a good Asa will beat a good Fuka, so I voted accordingly.

Fuka!
Actually I have barely tried the others...one fresh budget grade example of each and a stale Asa...but it´s the fuka that got me interested into sencha.

I started with mostly Fuka but have found that balance and complexity in the Asa's that NickE is referring to more and more to my tastes here lately

i tried some asamushi, but i didn't like them much.

Yutaka Midori fukamushi-cha has always been numero uno for me, but I enjoy all three. I like the fullness of a good fuka, and the crispness of a good asa ... and anything in between. I just love sencha.
I just like sencha in all its forms, but based on YM being top dog, I voted for fuka.

I drink fukamushi the most followed by asamushi; probably 3 to 1.

But the tea is always greener on the other side of the "Sea of Japan."
