I think I'd have to rotate that one from time to time to be sure I appreciate all of its surfaces. I do that with my teawares on the shelf from time to time...
Today checking in to report that cold-brewed sparkling sencha is a nice thing. My first attempt is more mineral water than sencha, but I can see the pleasing potential. I'll be working on this sporadically over the summer.
Edited to add, that another couple of hours of resting in the fridge has improved the flavor balance considerably--more sencha, but still pleasingly mineral/sparkling. I forsee regular sparkling water purchases to brighten up heat waves with sparkling sencha. And I need a trip to my local tea shop to purchase some less pricey sencha for this use.

Few cups of Uji hojicha jubuzan today; it still is the best hojicha I have ever tried, among the many I had the opportunity to brew during these months.

Re: Official what GREEN are you currently drinking?
Weekdays at the office are where/when I have most of my green tea. I grandpa-style brew Longjing from my local Chinese tea shop all day--the water at work is the perfect temperature. My teaware isn't as impressive as some of the others here, but it is pretty wabi-sabi: a mug that I got 16 years ago in Legoland, which now has its fair share of chips and cracks.

I'm recovering from major dental surgery today so I'm following the dental surgeons orders by 'hydrating' myself with tea. I assembled this Seong-il Teaware to drink genmaicha and thought that it was like having tea with old friends. Very soothing.

Hope you are on the mend, JRS!
Kirishima organic sencha from O-Cha. As billed, perhaps the best organic I have tried.

This afternoon, well, almost evening soon, is a LiuAnGuaPian, a change after a week of Puerh.
The fresh grassy taste and muted floral aftertaste is a refreshing change

Just got back from Siem Reap, Cambodia, and I'm drinking fermented green Cambodian jasmine tea with jiaogulan I added to the teapot. Quite a pleasant jasmine tea. The fragrance isn't overpowering and the tea isn't bitter when brewed hot. Only 80 cents for 250g! The locals drink it hot or iced and sometimes sweetened I believe. Nice change of pace from oolongs.

Official what GREEN are you currently drinking?
Fermented green? From your description it sounds oolongish in not being bitter when hot.
Re: Official what GREEN are you currently drinking?
It's still a green...but yes, that description would fit an oolong. This kind of tea is popular in Myanmar too. It's somewhat darker than a regular green, but without the careful oolong processing. Somewhere in the middle, but closer to green in flavor.

Re: Official what GREEN are you currently drinking?
Sounds quite nice, as long as the jasmine is not overpowering.
Re: Official what GREEN are you currently drinking?
Yes, that's the best thing about it....balanced well for such cheap tea. It's the only Cambodian tea I found sold and consumed everywhere. The rest seems to be Vietnamese or Chinese Jasmine or Lotus (VN).
Re: Official what GREEN are you currently drinking?
My most awaited green tea arrived 2 days ago. I already tried both of them and at this point all i can say is awesome. I never thought that green tea could taste this good. Im no tea connoisseur so i don't know much about the lingo in describing tea but the aroma, taste and the experience is well worth it.... Now I'm tempted to venture out to the higher quality greens in the very near future. Here are the 2 green teas that i tried from o-cha...

I have a 1.5 litre coffee plunger sitting beside me with hot water and liuanguapian steeping.
a nice drink but I think the next brew will be the "1980" faked Shou Puerh.

Sipping some interesting Jasmine Pearl green tea, a bit too scented for me unfortunately.
