Organic Yame Sencha "Asatsuyu" from O-Cha. It's sweet and vegetal, like a sugar-snap pea. I really am taken to the Asatsuyu cultivar.

I'm making up for lost tea drinking time (none at all yesterday) by fitting in 2 greens by 11am. I began my day with Sencha Otsuusan. Other people have orange juice before their cereal but I begin my day with green tea. Then after my cereal a session of Gu Zhu Zi Sun which was good for 6 infusions.

I'm really enjoying O-cha.com's (Tsuen) Sencha Aoi.
I had actually never had this one before. I'd go so far as to say it has already become a favorite. It has a lot of the different flavors that you can get in sencha, but not a single one of them is overpowering. It is all one harmonious blend.
Very good, very high quality sencha.

Hi Chip,

So here's my first contribution in the green tea forum as you asked (:

I'm drinking a high grade Taiping Houkui, one of my favorite green tea. And here's the picture:

Typically large leaves with orange veins.

Very refreshing and mellow tea with a nice wheatgrass ending.
So very important here to use a perfectly neutral water and to drink it before the 18th month following its harvest. Better to keep it in the fridge also.

I use a tea app on my iPod to manage multiple steeps. Today I brewed some inexpensive kukicha using time and temps for a more expensive Karigane. It didn't make the kukicha come out as good as the Karigane but it did improve it. Maybe there should be a shuffle function for tea.

So in my cup Shincha Sencha from Maiko.

Oku Yutake from Thés du Japon, 7g/10cl, 68°C/1'30...

Great sencha. A lot of umami which usually is not my best friend but here the tea is soft and so loooooong. Various notes of citrus and peach in the long finish. Just great.

I have spent last week with Hojo's Uji Jubuzan sencha. The tea is grown using natural farming : no pesticide, no fertilizer. The result is very impressive, different from usual sencha as there is no umami at all, but I love it. Great throat sensations. Got teadrunk a few times with this tea.

Korean Nokcha eherbata.pl

Taste and looks like a delicious Japanese tea Tamaryokucha or Kamacha, having at the same time the individual character.

It is full green tea, an interesting classic taste, flexible and being able to give "power" as a dynamic tea from Vietnam and China's Yunnan, and in the same time having a bit of sweetness and delicacy of Japanese teas.

Even 30 years ago in Korea, the tea industry was very weak, most of the crop remained in the hands of small farmers, but the great traditions of tea on the Korean peninsula dates back a long time. For Korea, Kim brought tea seeds during Taeryom unified Silla kingdom. At the time of the next dynasty - Koryo - King got a cup of tea every morning during the ceremony connected with music, tea accompanied by a diplomatic ceremonies. Koreans also boast that in the sixth century Korean monk named Yongri took tea to Japan.

At the end of the Middle Ages, in the Yi Dynasty, the court replaced Confucian Buddhist ceremony, and the production facilities are covered with high taxes, so that even the most abandoned monastery cultivation. It was only in the eighteenth century, there has been a revival of the tea, which was a proponent of Son Chou Sa.

The most famous is a Korean saying: "tea and meditation have the same taste," and it refers to the Zen philosophy of tea in Korea, which has a lot in common, because the tea ceremony in Korea is very unique, but similar to Japanese chado. Accentuates the lines of the world and the location of people involved in the ceremony. The host always sits facing the east, and the guests - which should be three (the most important one in the middle) - to the west.

I hope you understand me;p
