Rules be damned, a lot of photos were being taken all over the place in the last hour of the show. I think most everyone adhered to the rules but then finally caved at the end.
I was able to snap some group photos of some old and some new TeaFriends (with enthusiastic subject permission) which I will post.
It will be nice to see some video or photos of your seminar! Maybe we can ask WTE to release some of their official photos and/or videos of your seminar for teachat or on their website. They benefit too from promoting people's awareness of their events. I once asked them for photos for a Chinese tea magazine and they happily provided them.

Yezzz, shincha season is in full swing here as well!
(first) prelim tasting of Kirameki from OTTI 13 Shincha O-Cha.
(first) prelim tasting of Chiran from OTTI 13.
(second) prelim tasting of Sae Midori from OTTI 13.
Hard to say nothing at all without prejudicing participants.

Meng Ding Gan Lu [2012] from TeaSpring
Other names:
Mount Meng Sweet Dew
allegedly nicknamed "Xian Cha", which means Tea of the Immortal. Only the leaves picked in the misty peak areas of Mount Meng can be considered as true Meng Ding Gan Lu.

Ikuyo-no-Mukashi Matcha from Ippodo.
Quite a nice batch today, though I made it slightly weak.

Ippodo Sencha Hosen today, brewed in my Deishi kyusu, consumed from my latest Yunomi purchase. The Woodfired piece from a local Michigan Potter.
Was off on how much I thought this Yunomi holds, as a result this is a very strong batch of Sencha!

Mmm strong Sencha. Just brewed Kirameki at 1.25 gs/oz 160f for 1:30. It was strong, but amazing!

3 shincha rule ...
Began with an Asatsuya sample from a "to be named later vendor from the World Tea Expo."
Next up, A shincha gifted from Sugimoto ... still do not know the name of this one.
The WTE made reaching the 20 shincha goal a breeze!

I'm about to make a brew of this myself, right now this is my favorite fuka.
I plan to write a complete review for the shincha section shortly.

Re: Official what GREEN are you currently drinking?
I am trying several SaeMidori-s this year. Of course O-Cha's in the OTTI, but also a few others including one from Shizuoka that was extremely good when sampled at WTE.
The ones I have been able to sample have all been very good this year.

Finished off my Morning Crane Tea Daejak.
Possibly not the best part to brew grandpa style lots of small little bits that settled to the bottom. But its still decent, just a lot more on the bitter side of things.
