Lovely round of Gu Zhu Zi Sun this afternoon. Paying attention to the brewing really is helping bring out the best in a tea that I let go a little too long by mistakenly hoarding it. A spectacularly curtained cup by Shyrabbit adds to the pleasure of drinking it.

Organic Kagoshima Sencha Asatsuyu from Yuuki-cha. Got a really nice unami flavour at 60c. Really thick and creamy.

Brewed up Chashi Meiji from Charaku-tea. A good tea but it is Super Fukumushi, it clogs even the best made strainers in less than a second even with careful pours.

I just had a litre or so of that unlabeled gyokuro from around Uji. High quality or not, I can still taste its flavour in my mouth and it's amazing. I can predict this green is going to cost me a large part of my finances.

19:43 UPDATE: I'm going to be very barbaric and brew some more for dinner. Dang!

More of the Gu Zhu Zi Sun, determined to finish this off before I open another green.....not that it's much of a sacrifice. Love this stuff.

. You could try going cup to cup. Just get two cups and an english style tea strainer, brew in one and just pour the cup through a strainer in to the next cup.. I use that when I just want good sencha in a hectic environment

12 JK Tea Liu An Gua Pian -

Rather mild in flavor. Chestnut and some floral notes. Not super expressive...reminds me of kamairicha quite a bit. Good, but I've had better.
