Gyokuro versus Sencha

by Chip » Jul 30th, '11, 08:10

A member asked what is the difference between gyokuro and sencha in another topic. I thought it would make an interesting topic since there are many differences.

I didn't have gyokuro for a while, looking forward to trying it again one or two month later. I'm sure my taste changed greatly, i wonder if i will say same things as i did before. At the beginning i created similar topic :) http://www.teachat.com/viewtopic.php?f= ... 2&p=184216

Considering through how many posts you go on daily basis... no wonder :D

Now probably i would grab good sencha more often, than gyokuro even if i had both in unlimited stock. Most likely i'll make a birthday present for myself, a really good gyokuro and a ~100ml kyusu :D Those tiny tea pots are soooo adorable  I certainly like them a lot more than shiboridashi or houhin.
