Guricha = Tamaryokucha?
As guricha's popularity grows, I found myself looking for other distributors, only to find that our guricha is almost always paired with tamaryokucha!

Could it be that guricha and tamaryokucha are the same thing? This would mean that our friend Mellow Monk has a whole shop full of Guri!

Has anyone ever tried mellow monk tea? Is it any good? I like the sencha from adagio and den's, but was looking to try some different places as well. Never heard of monk's until I read this post.

Master Go Green, I have a bag of Mellow Monk in my refrigerator. If I remember, I will let you know once I drink it. Stay tuned.

Thanks...you keep it in the fridge? Is that the best place to keep it? I have all of mine in a cabinet...should I be keeping them in the fridge?

Keeping un-opened tea in the fridge helps keep it fresh. Once you take it out its best to wait till the tea reaches room temperature before opening it, or the leaves will collect moisture.

And then only if the bag has been properly heat sealed. Regardless, I still add a layer or two for added protection.
It is amazing I never made the guricha connection though at different times I knew they were essentially the same, I just never made the connestion that they are one in the same.
