I have a question about the genmai cha tea. I was reading that for some of the lighter green teas you should add about 2 teaspoons per cup of water instead of one teaspoon for per cup. Is the genmai cha considered a "lighter" green tea?

"lighter" in that context means non-dense, not lightly colored. airy teas should use the double measurement. Its usually pretty intuitive on which teas are non-dense. in the case of genmai cha, one teaspoon per cup of water is fine.
