I will be posting new work from Seong il on my dropbox site. It's been far too long that I've been able to get anything from the young master. This will feature side handle teapots, teapots, servers, and tea caddys. Please check back here for the link as soon as I process the photos and descriptions. :D

A bunch of gorgeous stuff from both artists, in quite a variety of glazes and styles.

Yes, I'm quite impressed with the level of work from both of them. Seong il really created a lot of servers. Green tea drinkers who like servers without handles can really get their wabi sabi fix with these.

Very nice offerings from Seong-Il. The small teapot/cup sets would also be nice for travel sets.

But I think the stars of the offering are the servers which double nicely as water coolers. Such a wide array to choose from.

Wow, that's an incredible selection of items! I wish those bowls from Eung Chul were smaller -- I really love that look and style. It reminds me of the classic old style.

Those large tawny bowls reminded me of some gorgeous antiques that have been linked mostly to the 'not my teaware, but I wish it was' topic. Would love them about 30% smaller.

I was wowed by the porcelain red copper glaze. I've already sent Tead Off an email with my wish list - a pot/cup pair and a server. Even chamomile tea tastes good in artisanal Teaware.

The large tea bowls are an homage to the traditional style that were popularized in the Joson Dynasty. Almost every serious potter does a version of these and Japan's museums hold some of the most revered bowls in this style. Prices can skyrocket according to the maker. Many new bowls are priced in the thousands of dollars in Korea.

For now, the results are quite promising¹.

¹Until now, I have only tried with some SX.

I would try with either Puerh or Taiwan oolongs, even black teas. Wuyi can work, too. Let us know what you discover.

Those are a couple stunning collections. The little kyusus (kyusi?) with the oversized handles- so cute! :P
