I am waiting for more work from Eung Chul. He also does very nice porcelain teaware. Very fastidious potter who doesn't have a lot of output. Plus, I'm close to arranging something with another Korean potter whose work I greatly admire.

I would like to thank you Jeff for what you are doing. I'm completely happy with my lately arrived pot (and hohin set, of course), and I'm pretty sure it's not my last piece of art from Seong-il. By the way, what kind of teas can be best brewed in this pot? Any personal recommendations?

Glad you are happy, Sergey. That's a cool teapot.

I have successfully brewed just about every kind of tea in the Seong il teapots. Usually, I will change pots depending on the size. I like to use 80-120ml for many different teas and depending if I'm drinking alone or with others. I have no hesitation putting good Puerh or any kind of oolongs and blacks into them.

I will be posting new work by Kim Eung Cheol soon. This will be a small selection of copper glazed teapots, caddys, bowls, and servers. Lovely teaware. Please check for the link a bit later.

This type of glazing is the same type used in the Song dynasty in China to create Jun ware. The beautiful purples and reds are very lovely and varied.

Thanks for sharing with us, very nice selections!

Unfortunately, my Korean TeaShelves are jammed packed. I guess I need another shelf!

As do I, to make room for the Kim Eung Cheol teapot and server I just purchased. I don't have "display" shelves, just kitchen cabinets with glass fronts. It's time to empty the cabinet completely and give my artisan tea ware prominence. A labor of love.
