So, I will proceed in the creation of the Eiichi Commission. (sounds like a good book title )

If you PMed your commitment/interest to me already, I have you on the list, and I will be contacting you soon. If you are interested in committing, please PM asap. More than half of the proposed 20 pieces are spoken for. Those who commit will have first opportunity to choose.

My intent is to target 100 USD per piece for this commissioned work. This is actually quite low for a commissioning, but Mago will make sacrifices as he always does and has an excellent rapport with the artisan.

Although the value I feel we will place on this piece in the years to come will far surpass this price, especially as Eiichi progresses to his potential which I feel is quite lofty. He is truly a Master in the making, a future "National Treasure."

I am still in discussion on price, however my goal is 80-85 USD. This is well below market value for these, especially since Eiichi has stated he will not be doing these again for a while.

I will likely do 2-3 size options. These will be Yunomi which is the best "canvas" for the ROCK, I am sure you agree?

One will be about 3" and similar in size to "SnowDrifts." Then I will spec a slightly larger version, 3.25-3.5". I might spec 3 sizes ... or maybe a slightly different shape.

Target for completion is around 45 - 60 days from now.

YES Yes, yes, yes. Brilliant idea! Thank you esteemed Eiichi. Thank you Chip and thank you Mago. Snow drift is the only Hagi piece and by far the most prized ceramic, I call myself lucky enough to own. The prospect of a unique, second piece by the creator of snow drifts is destroying the ear drums inside my head as a metaphorical alarm bell blares.
